No Fi Art

On the introduction of the D'Agonstino Momentum ($55,000.00 USD) we wondered why the Heat Sinks were copper. Where was the option to have them pure 24K gold?

There are certain products that exhibit a no fi art to them.

The Woo Audio WA-8 Headphone Amplifier ($1500.00 USD) has a certain reticence to it. The tubes are not quite right, but nicely setup, in a nicely finished case (metalwork, only - not connections or glass, setup), and one wonders if it will drive headphones on the desktop, well. CB Radio sized (it uses Soviet tubes), and battery powered, it is not the sort of thing that one imagines as a portable home device. More an interesting fixture for your guests to gawlk and talk. We neither like the cables, the inputs, the knob, nor the connections - leaving aside the glass mount and the tubes.

Could this be our fascination with Glashutte Original watches, again? There is nothing amazing about a watch, on the face. Screen printing or hand-painting, it is a mere paper thin dial. That it works, is amazing.

You'll find yourself attracted to products which resonate idyllically with you. We find ourselves attraction to the Stenator model, and were we a senator, there likely would be a fine collection.

Need we say anything about the Nighthawlk: Art Bell? My, is it ugly. Nice wing design to the Woo Audio stand.
