Looking for headphones, we sometimes get excited by what we see. Here's the George Martin Signature Series - Limited Edition Headphones (2250.00 GBP). To go along with your reading, we recommend you imbibe a 6 of Martens Belgium Pilsner (500 ml), and at least a few Sapporo Premium Beer (500 ml), to Japanify (Ichiban is best) the experience.
Now, what we're most excited about is this portrait of George Martin. It suits our publication. He's a randsome chap.

This photo suits us, next. He's a good looking chap, and the pose is fine. You can see some dilution in the eyes, and a bit of age in the left wrist, but he's a perfect figure of a man.
Unfortunately, things get worse, as we go in. While the shop is fine, and the box is fantastic, for a product like Hi Fi Man, the gm logo is a bit winsome, the travel pouch, not quite right, and the contents, aside from the cleaning cloths... interesting, yet unappealing. Let's proceed.

Here's the major offender.

It's a device that actually limits your listening. Not only that, but we imagine it effects and compromises the sound quality. The cabling seems on the level of PBJ, but what's the point in a mobile product - you want finish and mobility! :)
While you can get a decent Aprey wallet for 400 GBP, the wallet like part beneath this device seems of poor cosmetic quality.
The device looks just as ghastly as something Mercedes Benz engineers would come up for a dashboard concept - take some wood venner, coat in plastic, call it wood for luxury, and then put it in a "cockpit" full of plastic switches - this on an S series!
Not that any other car manufacturer is largely without blame in this regard. We have yet to see a true luxury sedan. Only the Galipier by Bughatii looked to be one, and certainly not the other supercar models.

Ok. Here's something nice. The Meridian Explorer2. It has their proprietary form of audio-compression, which is nice. It's cheap too! $300.00. Why the hell is the gm logo on it? :) Does it make you a General Manager? We are of course referring to Hockey. Off ice those guys can be some well-dressed chaps, at least the few Bruins we have met at Harry Rossen.

Ok. Here's something interesting. A cigar tube cum humidor. Ok, it isn't, but it does nicely resemble a 1920's radio. Throw away schlock. We've bought some headphones (Tumi Monster Inspiration) at Holt Renfrew, and found them only suitable for a one-day wear. They went with a new Gucci toque, and that was about it for these things.

Why are the little gold bits so small? They're almost MapleShade Records in their tendency. They look nice, but the cables are so tear-away.

The whole set. Ok. It looks nice, but it isn't a Dunhill cigar case, lighter, scizzors and complimentary cigarette.
Cigar, anyone?
