A Man in Fashion

It's Products of the Year (2014) time, and we thought we'd go in another direction. It's interesting that TAS chooses to seperate products into Affordable (1000), Mid-Priced (2700), Upper-End (10,000-20,000), and CNO ($85,000 USD).

The Pass Labs Xs 300: Not a Washing Machine, but a Shy Bit Larger than the AKG Xs In-Ear.

For $85,000.00 USD, you can get yourself a decent wardrobe. We're not talking about a million dollar wardrobe (interesting) but we are talking one that would suit you, were you well-cut and willing to parlay.

The Pass Xs-300 Monoblock Amplifiers ($85,000.00 USD) of Anthony H. Cordsman's and The Absolute Sound's recommendation are also $85,000.00 USD.  and 168 lbs. Just About the right weight for an above-average American guy of six-foot-zero (6'0"). You'll want to shave off a few pounds, fellas.

We recommend going for John Lobb for shoes, and seeking higher for other components. Hermes makes some wonderful casual affairs.

Pants

Hermes pants come in about $1000.00 USD.

Jackets

Alfred Dunhill or Armani lunch jackets come in at $2500.

Coat

So we are up to 1/4 of our budget in shoes, for 3 pair, which is about just right.

Should 1000 GBP budget shoes appeal to you, you can go a bit lower with Edward Green. Or apply some leaverage, and go for George Cleverly.

Expect about 4500 EUR for a decent pair of dress-shoes by Bally, however. Nothing special. Just like Klaus Bunge's Odyssey Audio Stratos ($2700.00 USD), you'll see mid-priced performance under $5000.00 USD.

Since you'll want about 8 pairs of shoes to rotate, staying low about the Edward Green and George Cleverly level may be necessary, under $85K.
