| Richard Vandersteen with Model Seven Felt |
We're not a fan of Vandy, but it's nice how the Model Seven is just a little Wilson Grand Slam-like, with a Duntech felt thrown in. Talk about a bargain. $45,000/pair. John Atkinson suggests that the Vandersteen Model Seven Mark II is one of the best sounds at this year's CES, 2015, and Michael Fremmer liked it well enough to rate it class A.
The models 1Ci ($1249/pair), 2Ce Signature II ($2,560/pair), and 3A Signature ($4775/pair) are the traditionals in the crew.
At $1650 / each, the Model 2W subwoofers are in-expensive (about what we paid for our Velodyne in '89), and you can use them efficaciously.

The only Vanderstein that we can come close to recommend, aesthetically is the Model 5A Carbon (above). $29,900.00 / pair. The rear-tweeter looks a bit like an inverted-Mercedes, so you can see your value. We'd recommend plating the bottom, gold, and straightening it to align with the slope of the cabinet.
It's an elegant line. You've got to play it backwards. It looks better, and may sound better, that way.

Speaking of which, for fans of the Stein, we can recommend the Baltica #7 Export (BA 71). $2.65. It's a very good beer!

Bill de Blasio would be proud.
