Republic of Wadia

You don't have to read Barron's, live in the Republic of Wadiya, or even have a first name of Sasha ala Barron Cohen to afford the latest offerings of Wadia. Since joining the Fine Sounds ground, Wadia has down-scaled it's offerings to fit the needs of Stereophile.com viewers.

In the place of the Power DAC, is the Power DAC mini, to take a turn from Apple's play book. The PowerDAC retailed at $80,000. Today, the 151 retails for $500.00. That's the same price as a Mac mini - so those audiophiles who are constantly perplexed by price levels rising to Wadiyan levels - that is prices in rupees being those in dollars.

Wadia is more famous though for it's famous decoding computers. In other words, DAC's. It's 922 retailed for $50,000. Today, it's 121 retails for $1300.00 USD, the same price as David Yurman's Silver Curb Chain or $750.00 USD at Music Direct - not something you'd see on the wrist of President Prime Minister Admiral General Haffaz Aladeen, would you?
