OctaMed

For those that wish to start weightlifting, it's good practice to start with a set of 8 reps, and go up to 16. When you've managed 16, go down to 8 at a higher weight.

Simple pattern. Easy to start.

Back in the day, OctaMed was a popular tracker. We preferred ScreamTracker, but it didn't make the transition.

Composing, it's a nice practice to write songs in pairs. First, write one to get every issue out of you. Second, write one beautiful.

The interesting thing about composing with a tracker as opposed to with pen and paper is that you have control. You get to specify volume numerically (admittedly with hex and not finely but finely ... enough for use), and get control of your sounds down to the sample.

It's fun to specify loop points with precision, to see your waveforms, and admittedly, to do so (although intelligence would lead one to do one, unto-other) at a macro-level with situations, people and of chorus, chord tunes like Be-jesus, Beatles.

While some pianists can play with 10 fingers, 8 is ritually enough.
