Apple TV

The Apple TV is a good device.  The design is better than the Teac UD-H01. $400 vs $100. It has a good power cable. We have it connected via a FiiO D3 D/A ($35.00) converter in our home. This is a good device, but we've already lost one amplifier to it - you may also. Your Apple TV may then deserve something upwards of a Teac 501 to best render it's sound (16 bit 48 kHz). $99.00
