Round Table - Headphone Fashion

Our round table, a Sony PS-X40, is happily used for rotating our headphone selection. We've mounted it with a Grado, black, and happily given it two Hermes Kilim rings, and a money clip (it's a display table).

To its' Stanton head-shell (wonton), we've installed a +4g counter-weight.

In the center of our round table, sits a Sennheiser CX-500. We're inclined to call it the CS-X500 in reference to Computer science. It's for jogging, and out of production. We're looking for two more phones.

Clockwise, from left to right, The Sennheiser IE-800.

The AKG K375. It's for city-walking only.

The Sennheiser IE-80. It's for snow-boarding.

The B&O H3. It's for purpose.

The Astell & Kern AKR-01 (Final Audio), it's long, hard and shiny, and good for lifting weight.

And finally, The AKG XS. It's for anything.

We have a chubby pair of AKG K375 (large ear-tip, gun-metal grey, medium missing), that we won't let connect to our reference FiiO Olympus headamp, until it's down to a medium. :)

Missing: We are missing the Final Audio Piano-Forte-X-CC (Chrome Copper), Final Audio Piano-Forte-X-G (Gold), and would like the Final Audio Piano-Forte VIII (Cheap).

We realize we'll need more in-ear headphones, for a review. We also have the Beats urBeats Alexander Wang Edition in Shiny Gold, which we replaced from the Space Grey edition, purchased at the Apple Store.

They were amazing, in terms of packaging.

We got them as Dr. Dre had just been the first hip-hop artist to make $1B in Net Worth (a Hip Hop / Rap Community Issue), and thought we would help celebrate the affair.

The headphone issue is a solid one, for us. We realize that we are capable of resolving the finer-differences in distinction. Speakers, we consider art and products, in the economic sense, and collectables, at the tip of the strata | state.

Many audiophile forum members have criticized reviewers and publications for not purchasing gear for review, and being beholden to the manufacturers. We have taken this into benign consideration, and began by purchasing the gear we review for publication.

We are beholden to Commercial Electronics and Hi Fi Centre for not purchasing ample product from their repository, and will use amends from this income stream to make them all right.

Hiio.
