IFI

There are a lot of iffy products in hi-fi, lately. The products of IFI are not 'em.

"What do we like about iFi?"

We don't have one, to start.

We think we should have a Focal Grande Utopia III EM pair for fronts, and Focal Scala Utopia III 2 pair for rears, and 8 Devialet D-Premier's, but we can't cope with the upgrade cost of the most charming Devialet.

It's really the first static device that is fully interesting and fully, naturally instantly comprehensible.

We like the iFi Micro iDAC. It's good enough, with the AKG Q701 (Quincy Jones) model headphone.

We like the iFi iPower USB controller. It's good, for the Calynx Coffee and FiiO D3. $200.00. What's not, to like? (Our habits reinforce beliefs, reinforce values.)

We'll get the iFi Micro DSD. It's not a headphone amplifier, but it's good-enough, as a converter.
