Avantgarde Acoustics

In our review of Bang & Olufsen (B&O) as a product company we well-mentioned Avantgarde Acoustic.

Avantgarde Acoustic has been making loudspeakers since 1991. We are a particular fan of their Solo, and recommend it fully as a collectable.

Some of the best users in High-Fidelity choose and prefer Avantarde models, particularly the Duo. We can think of Srajan Ebean as one example of 6moons. The Trio is interesting to us, particularly, and we have shown it in our "What's Wrong With High Fidelity" as a positive model of loudspeaker.

We did mention the room as being ill-setup, so here, thankfully is a well-laid out conversational piece.

 
Note that the room's roof is too low, in our estimation, and with an unfortunate drop in the ceiling. Commercial Electronics has a similar arrangement in their small listening room.

We like the room diffusement products, however we would prefer a more aplty geometicrally laid out room, with non-parallel walls, or else a larger room of noble drawing-room variety for such a level of product.

Here is an appropriate room for such a product:
Do not let us dissuade you from choosing any Avantgarde model for your particular domestic environment - just please make sure that your furniture is arranged so as not to be present or acoustically adversely affect the sound quality. You can do this visually yourself, if you have some comprehension, or else allow Rives Audio to assist you, as this fine gentleman has allowed them to do for him. He should be applauded.
